Almost every client I work with gets stuck in the same place.
They start making decisions before they’ve decided on an overall vision. They don't know how to incorporate all of their collected & sentimental items in a way that makes sense. They're unsure how to nail a direction & skip doing this entirely which results in a home that is confused & feels anything but nurturing.
So they buy the tapware because it’s on sale.
Choose a paint colour because they like it.
Fall in love with a tile.
Order furniture they saw on Instagram.
Then a few months later, they’re trying to make all of those individual decisions work together & it just doesn't.
The simple fix?
Plan the whole home first.
You don’t need to renovate every room at once, but you do need a clear vision for where you’re heading. That way every decision supports the bigger picture instead of fighting against it.
It’s one of the biggest reasons designer-led projects feel so cohesive.
If you’re renovating and don’t know where to start, The Renovation Companion System walks you through the same planning process I use with my clients, so you can make confident decisions from day one.
