• The Renovation Companion System. Interior designers have been using a proven process to keep renovations moving smoothly & decisions on track for years. This system simplifies that process into step-by-step checklists, trade-ready templates & guides that walk you through what to do, when to do it, what to buy & how to choose, all while staying on top of your budget, without the jargon or confusion. DIY like a designer. 

Use the system to do it yourself & bring us in for support if you want it. Mix & match as you need it.

Why Your Design Companion exists

YDC started with a simple love for home. There's nothing better than helping someone create a home they truly love. Home is where the heart is, & getting it right is worth every bit of effort.

The process designers use should be accessible to everyone. Not gatekept inside a degree or locked behind big fees. So YDC was built to open it up, & give everyone a way to get there, whatever that looks like for them.

Every renovator is different. Some want it taken off their plate. Others want to do it themselves. Most land somewhere in between. The support shouldn't be one size fits all.

A Bit About Casey - The Founder of Your Design Companion

Hi! I'm a Mornington Peninsula local. Oceans, forests, wine country & farmland. I'm absolutely in love with my beach shack & I get to hear the waves at night. I feel very blessed!

Outside of interiors I'm happiest in nature. You're just as likely to find me wakeboarding or on a dirt bike on the weekend as walking through a tile showroom. My two dogs Harper & Cole are the loves of my life & come everywhere in between.

I built my first house at 20 & have renovated ever since. I've been obsessed with interiors the whole way through.

Prior to interiors I spent close to 15 years as a Corporate Account Director across IT Consulting & Professional Services. That commercial & project management background runs through everything at YDC. The creative side & the practical side, working together.

I'm obsessed with simplifying the complex. Taking everything I've learned & handing it to other people. Almost everyone renovates or builds at least once in their life, & there should be clearer ways to access that knowledge. Hence YDC provides a flexible model for everyone.
